The Aledaño a la Bocatoma del Canal Nuevo Imperial Protected
Rainforest was established on May 19, 1980, through Law (R.S.)
N 0007-80-AA-DGFF. It is located in the department of Lima,
province of Cañete, district of Nuevo Imperial and
with a surface of 18,11 hectares.
The
main purpose of this area is to protect and preserve the
river Cañete in order to provide water with agricultural
purposes as it provides vegetables to the city of Lima.
