The Allpahuayo Mishana Reserve was established on March 2, 1999
through law (D.S.) Nº 006-99-AG. It is located in the
department of Loreto, province of Maynas and with a surface
of 57667,43 hectares. It has very important ecosystems such
as the river Nanay which provides water for the city of Iquitos.
Due
to be really close to Iquitos the tourism has been increased
in te Allpahuayo Mishana reserve in the last years, for
example we can observe the tourist Complex of Quistococha,
Nauta, the National Reserve of Pacayá - Samiria and
the river Amazonas.
