Reserved Areas in Peru :

This area was on April 28, 1988 through Law (Resolución
Suprema) N 0186-88-AG/DGFF. It is located in the departments
of Junin and Cusco, in the provinces of Satipo and La Convencion,
respectively and with a surface of 1 669 200 hectares. In
this area live a big number of fishes and birds.
The
Apurimac Reserve is populated by different indian tribus
and includes general archaeological sites too.
The
main goal it the conservation and the protection of representative
samples of the humid forest in the Central Rain forest as
well as the promotion of the scientific research as due
to its isolated location it has not been studied yet.
