Chancaybaños

The Chancaybaños Reserve was established on February 14,
1996, by Law (D.S.) N 001-96-AG. It is located in the department
of Cajamarca, province of Santa Cruz, district of Chancay
baños and it has a surface of 2628 hectares. In this
area we can fond the area called Los Baños where there
are thermal waters.
With
regard to the fauna we can observe several birds and animals
such as: the chiroque, cernícalos and patos. The
main goal of the reserved area of Chancay baños is
to protect and preserve the thermal waters and the wild
fauna living in it
