Access: The best overland route
runs from Lima-La Oroya-Cerro de Pasco-Huánuco-Tingo
María-Pucallpa (860 km), which takes around 16 hours
by car. There are also flights from Lima which take around
55 minutes. The journey 1,021 km downriver from the city of
Iquitos takes 4-5 days in winter and 6-8 days in summer, depending
on the current.
